Eastern Palliative Care (EPC) is a not-for-profit home-based palliative care service which offers a full range of support programs with the aim of improving the quality of life of individuals, carers and families of those suffering life-limiting or terminal illnesses.  Clients can be referred by treating doctors, local hospitals, treating specialists, allied health professionals, by self or by family members and friends.

EPC provides specialist palliative care services free of charge in your home.

EPC is the largest single provider of community based palliative care services in Victoria. Our services are provided in the Local Government areas of Boroondara, Manningham, Maroondah, Monash, Whitehorse, Knox and Yarra Ranges.

Bereavement Programs, including grief and loss counselling

 

Bereavement can be a difficult time - often a time of significant personal adjustment. Grieving is a very individual process, with the needs of each person being different and possibly changing over time. Eastern Palliative Care offers grief and bereavement programs that assists with the loss and grief experiences both pre and post death.

Complementary Therapies

Complementary Therapies provide a dimension to palliative care that supports and complements existing medical treatments.

Having the power to touch the inner self, these therapies help the client towards a natural state of physical, emotional and spiritual balance.

Eastern Palliative Care works on a multi-disciplinary model of care with all disciplines and programs coming together in a team approach. The complementary therapies program is a core component of our service.
