Palliative Care Equipment Loans Scheme (PCELS) 2011

Eastern Palliative Care has been successful in receiving one-off grant funding under the National Palliative Care Scheme to improve access to equipment for palliative care clients in community settings.

 

The outcomes and objectives of the PCELS are to:

  • Support the provision of palliative care for those who are dying to be cared for in the setting of their choice including the home;
  • Improve the quality of life and independence of those requiring palliative care in the community;Support the role of carers of recipients of palliative care;
  • Promote equity of access to aids and equipment for those who are dying in the community;
    and
  • Provide aids and equipment that are appropriate and cost effective to meet the identified needs of recipients of palliative care.

 

This funding will allow EPC to upgrade and expand on the type of equipment it is able to make available to clients on our program at no hirer charge.


Fundraising: Shopping Trolley Coins

What is a Shopping Trolley Coin? Some supermarkets require customers to insert a $1 or $2 coin into a special lock on their shopping trolleys.
How to use it: Simple unclip the coin substite token off the key ring and insert into your shopping trolley. When you're done take it out, clip it back on and it's ready to use again.
